First time since 2013: Seasonal School returns to Iran

Last weekend, starting July 1st, the Center for Global Politics' (CGP) Seasonal School has returned to Iran for the first time since 2013. After a four-year hiatus, this year's program brings together 26 participants in Tehran.

News from Jul 03, 2017

For about two weeks, from July 1st to July 12, the CGP's Iran Seasonal School invites 26 young researchers from Germany and Iran to join an international learning experience.

In cooperation with the Center for Graduate International Studies at University of Tehran and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, the Iran Seasonal School seeks to empower global thinkers. Participants meet people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, thereby benefiting from an interdisciplinary research and teaching setting. Focusing on the EU and the MENA Region, our Seasonal School in Tehran provides them with the chance to venture into new spaces in- and outside of class. The participants have the unique opportunity to learn more about current challenges faced by regions in crisis. A mixture of lectures, interactive coursework, Q&A formats and other activities will help them both to sharpen their own perspectives and to get to know how scholars from other countries look at these important issues.

We would like to thank our partners, the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and the University of Tehran, without whom a return to Iran would not have been possible.

We look forward to an exciting time filled with new input, open discussions and interesting insights!
