President: Jinél is a South African who moved to Berlin, Germany, at the end of 2016. Previously, she has also lived in Reggio Emilia, Italy for a short stint as an exchange student; and in Guadalajara, Mexico for almost three years. Jinél holds a postgraduate degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. She holds two Master of Arts degrees, one from the South African university of the Witwatersrand and the second in International Relations through the CGP 11th run IRO programme. In her professional life, Jinél has been a politics tutor at WITS University, worked at an intellectual property law firm managing the international patent department, worked as a research scholar and programme officer at the South African institute of International Affairs, and is now a production manager organising curated eCommerce and digital transformation events for senior executives from multinational enterprises in Europe.
Outside of work hours, Jinél enjoys Latin and Ballroom dancing , Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and enjoying tasty meals with a side of Aperol Spritz. Jinél looks forward to invigorating the CGP alumni association with fresh ideas and plenty of new opportunities for the association members to get to know one another, learn, and engage in fulfilling and rewarding activities. She believes there is much unexplored potential for this association, and is eager to push the association to be an entity that truly serves its members.
