Irina Busyginais Professor of Comparative Politics at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and teaches the module "Eastern European Politics".

Irina Busygina is Professor of Comparative Politics at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and head of the Center for Regional Political Studies. Her research interests include Russia-EU relations, Russian politics, Russian foreign policy, comparative federalism and regionalism.

She was visiting fellow at Aleksanteri Institute, University of Helsinki (Finland), Uppsala Center for Russian Studies (Uppsala University, Sweden), State University of New York (Binghamton, NY, USA), Center for East European Studies (University of Regensburg, Germany), Slavic Research Center (University of Hokkaido, Japan), Faculty of Political Science (University of Bergen, Norway).
