Open to all, free, and attracting hundreds of thousands of students from all over the world, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) are the latest addition to the digital revolution in higher education. The Center for Global Politics is now participating in an international MOOC Production Fellowship contest initiated by “iversity” and the “Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft” (Association for the Promotion of German Science).
Our MOOC teaches students methods for avoiding plagiarism and producing exceptional scientific research. We aim to help students investigate all manner of important social and political phenomena: be it the fall of the Roman Empire, the current financial crisis or piracy off the cost of Somalia. Best of all: Our course accomplishes this in a fun and interactive way.
