In-house classes at the Center for Global Politics are now continuing for their second day. Following an introduction at the Henry Ford Building at Freie Universität Berlin yesterday, students from the CGP’s International Relations Online (IRO) and East European Studies (EES) blended learning masters programs took part in their first full day on classes.

Students from the 9th Run of IRO took part in a day-long lecture and discussion workshop hosted by Julian Junk and Daniel Kuchler regarding the topic of masters themes. At the same time those taking part in the 10th run of IRO tackled an overview of area studies in the morning with Evert van der Zweerde and learnt about the topic of Globalization in the afternoon with Dr. Erin K. Wilson

For their part EES student’s from the program’s 11th run worked through a module on migration flows presented by Dr Babara Dietz. This was then followed by a 2 hour-long discussion of the different papers written by the students themselves.

Of course the in-house classes themselves are about more than just tradition learning. As a vital part of the CGP’s blended learning programs they provide students the ability to socialize amongst an international group of their peers and make useful friendships and connections in their field.
