This year’s Center for Global Politics advisory board meeting has been held in Berlin.
News from May 04, 2016
The Center for Global Politics (CGP) is run by professional educators and hardworking administrative staff, however we also rely on our advisory board in assisting us with our projects. Comprised of a group of experts working in a wide range of disciplines, the CGP advisory board is one of the best tools we have at our disposal to check the progress of our programs and keep our team armed with fresh and innovative problem solving strategies.
To make use of this, we annually hold meetings with board members and give updates on our progress. The most recent such board meeting was held earlier this week on Monday, with a significant portion of our board joining us at Freie Universität Berlin for discussions. As well, others who could not make it in person instead participated from afar using Skype video conferencing.
Over the course of the meeting, board members were updated on the current state of all of the CGP’s programs including our IRO and EES blended learning master programs, as well as German Studies Russia (GSR) and the Graduate School of Global Politics (GSGP). Furthermore, board members were also be briefed on our upcoming Seasonal Schools in Ukraine, Iran, China, Cambodia/Vietnam and Jordan. These discussions were very fruitful and there was significant exchange of ideas with board members. As well, for the first time ever, new board member Dr. Caroline King, SAP, participated, lending her unique perspective to the discussions.
