The CGP is proud to announce that it will work with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung to help fund and organize our 2016 Jordan Summer School.
News from Jul 21, 2016
One of the exciting returning projects which the Center for Global Politics (CGP) has in store for 2016 is our forthcoming Jordan Fall School. Held in the country’s capital Amman, the school will help bring together IR students from the region (esp. Jordan, Palestine, Syria) and from abroad, for several days of learning and in-depth discussion.
With this in mind, the CGP is happy to announce that it will be working with the German Böll Stiftung (Heinrich Böll Foundation) in order to help fund and organize this school. The foundation, which has been operating since 1997, describes itself as an agency for green visions and projects, a think tank for policy reforms in conjunction with an international network. The Böll Stiftung has agreed to fund 2 local lecturers for the school, as well as a simulation game run by PlanPolitik. Additionally, they also are planning to provide financial support for some Palestinian students from the other side of the Jordan River to take part in the school. This support will be provided through their local office located in Ramallah.
This is just the latest cooperation between to the Center for Global Politics and Böll, with other jointly organized projects conducted in the past.
