Before taking on the challenge of shaping Germany's energy market of the future, Hildegard Müller represented her hometown Düsseldorf as Member of the German Parliament from 2002 to 2008 and was appointed Minister of State with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2005. After taking over the position of Chairwoman of the General Executive Management Board of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft/BDEW) in 2008, she now works towards a green and energy efficient world at Innogy SE.
