News from Feb 20, 2018
During the last couple of months the Center for Global Politics has kept busy with the preparation of the next week of thought-provoking in-house classes for students of the two online master tracks, as well as with organizing an exciting program for them. Some of the seminars of the rich academic program are “Eastern Europe – A Dissolving Concept?”, “Coping with Global Risks and Uncertainties”, “Global Cities”, and many more. On top of that, participants will be able to expand their knowledge on writing productivity, will be given useful tips regarding their master theses during workshops, and partake in a simulation game on "How to Bargain in Global Politics".
One of the highlights is the excursion to the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP), whose work is primarily oriented towards the German government and Bundestag, as well as relevant international organizations such as the European Union, NATO and the United Nations, without affiliation to any party or in interest group. The guiding theme of the visit will be “German Security Policy”. SWP is Europe´s biggest think-thank in the field of international politics and stands out with its ability to conduct and draw on the rigorous academic research that is needed in political consulting. Another highlight will be the farewell dinner with an overview at of Berlin´s biggest and most beautiful lakes-Wannsee.
We are excited to host another dynamic week of in-house classes in Berlin and look forward to welcoming students from all over the world!
