The demand for highly qualified experts in regional affairs and global politics has increased dramatically. Life-long learning has become a prerequisite to successful career development and management. In response, two blended-learning master programs at the Center for Global Politics have been designed to train and educate young professionals with international backgrounds.
Both master programs are practice-oriented and interdisciplinary in nature. They convey research skills in their respective academic fields as well as competencies in project planning, time management, and intercultural communication. East European Studies (EES Online) focuses on transformations in the economic, legal, cultural, and political sectors in Eastern Europe. International Relations (IR) Online discusses traditional and innovative theoretical approaches and provides research tools and coping mechanisms for a wide array of challenges in international affairs, such as migration, urbanization, new security threats, and the need for a new institutional design in world politics.
The combination of online learning (90%) and in-house classes (10%) allows students to enhance their qualifications while staying on the job. Both master programs comprise 120 ECTS credits and can be studied full-time (two years) and part-time (four years). Students are being prepared for challenging positions in academia and consulting, governmental and international agencies, business, as well as the media.
